Rumors that U2 front man Bono is write a song for the newly reformed Spice Girls have been ridiculed by U2's manager.

Paul McGuiness, the band's manager told The Sun newspaper: “We’re great fans of the Spice Girls.

“But rumors that Bono is to join them as a sixth member are sadly not true.”

However, The Sun is also reporting that Mark Ronson (who has worked with the likes of Lily Allen, Amy Winehouse and  Robbie Williams) does  want to work with the famous five - he told the newspaper: “I love the Spice Girls. I think their music is great.

“My sister has messed around with a couple of remixes of their songs. I would love to do a remix of Stop — that’s easily my favorite.”
