Pete Doherty to tour 'booze free'
Troubled rocker Pete Doherty is reportedly in talks for a series of solo gigs marking more than two months clean of drugs and alcohol.
According to The Sun newspaper, 28 year-old Pete has insisted that the venues he plays at the end of this month do not serve alcohol — as he will be performing sober for the first time in five years.
Gio-Goi, a fashion label Pete has previously modeled for - are to release their Drugs Free range for the tour with a new logo.
A source close to the 'Babyshambles' rocker said: “Pete came up with the idea. He feels like a new man. It’ll be a challenge for him to go on a tour without drugs.
“Everyone expects him to fall back into it but he’s confident he can keep on the straight and narrow.”
Meanwhile, Pete has hit back at claims that he attempted suicide in rehab, after Johnny Jeannevol, Pete's minder was quoted as saying: “Pete’s been really wound up over Kate showing off her new man. He told me he didn’t know what the pills were, and took the lot.
“He doesn’t care what drugs do to him - in fact, he loves finding out.”
But Doherty’s manager has insisted that the reports are “totally untrue”.
