Spice Girls to appear in advert for Tesco
The Spice Girls are reportedly set to scoop a cool $2 million each - just for poking fun at themselves in an advert for British supermarket chain Tesco.
Posh, Sporty, Ginger, Scary & Baby Spice, who kick off their reunion world tour in December, will appear in the TV advert just before Christmas.
A source told British newspaper The Mirror: "Tesco is one of the tour sponsors and has been desperate to get them in an advert. They will be sending themselves up, in the tradition of the old Jane Horrocks ads, and viewers should find it funny."
The ad is expected to be shown soon after the band's greatest hits album is released on November 12.
Meanwhile, rumors that U2 front man Bono are to join the girls on tour have been denied, with a spokesperson for the Irish philanthropist saying: We’re great fans of the Spice Girls. “But rumors that Bono is to join them as a sixth member are sadly not true.”
