Singer Shayne Ward has reportedly told troubled singer Britney Spears to "stay out of the limelight" and get her life and career back on track"

The 'X Factor' winner has said that he feels Britney, who recently lost her custody battle to former husband Kevin Federline has said that she needs to take a break and think about her pop career before it is too late.

In a recent interview, Ward said: "Britney is great at what she does and she just really needs to go away and think about things, because the time will be right. If she leaves it for now and then comes back she will be able to come back big.

"But I do understand the frustration of wanting to come back and get everything back on track. But until she goes away from the limelight a bit - that's the only time it will happen."

Ward, whose career is hanging on a thread - also revealed he would like to explore different industries in the future - and would love a role in Channel 4 TV show 'Shameless' - he said: "Because I'm from Manchester, I'd love a part in 'Shameless' - that would be fantastic."

Meanwhile, Britney Spears reportedly threatened to drive her car off a cliff, after an ‘hysterical’ Britney Spears phoned her ex husband Kevin Federline from her car and screamed: “I’m going to drive off the cliff! It’s going to be your fault that I killed myself.”
