Paul McCartney has revealed to Pete Doherty in a recent interview that John Lennon, who for the past 30 years has been rumored to be gay, that the 'Imagine' star was indeed not gay - indeed the opposite.

Instead, the 'Dance Tonight' star insists that Lennon was interested in "chicks", and didn't care for boys.

He tells rocker Pete Doherty during an interview for British newspaper The Observer, "What I spotted was the opposite. It was just chicks, chicks, chicks.".

No one has ever said

No one has ever said seriously that Lennon was "gay." Obviously he wasn't, and we didn't really need Paul McCartney to tell us that.

Lennon was rumoured to have had sex with Brian Epstein on one occasion, and possibly that might be true. Albert Goldman certainly thought so. But having sex with a guy one time, even if it did happen, isn't the same thing as being "gay."
