Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillipe officially single

Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillipe's troubled marriage was officially declared legally over on October 5, and their divorce will be finalized when they agree on a financial settlement and the custody of their two children.

Recently, the 'Legally Blonde' star has been romantically  linked to her 'Rendition' co-star Jake Gyllenhaal but the split has hit both stars hard.

Recently, Reese has been quoted as saying: “Right around Christmas time I was sitting in a parking lot and I felt like I just couldn't get out of the car, It was like, 'I can't get out of the car.'
She added: “I thought, 'OK, half of the parking lot has dealt with this. More than half of the parking lot has dealt with this.

“Ok, let's make it a little bigger. Half of this city has dealt with this. Let's make it a little bigger - half of this country', until I finally got out of the car.”

Ryan has also spoke of his heartache, saying the divorce was “the most personally devastating time in my life.”
