Nicole Richie plans a move to Australia

Pregnant socialite and 'Simple Life' star Nicole Richie is reportedly set for a move to Australia with boyfriend, and father of her unborn child, Joel Madden.

According to British newspaper The Sun, Joel wants to spend three months of the year on Australia's Gold Coast and is looking for an apartment for himself, Nicole and their new baby.

Joel said: "People keep saying to us 'how come you spend so much time down there?' and I just say that it's the best place in the world.

"I'm going to have a look around tomorrow for a place, a nice condo. It's only one flight man. The lifestyle here is insane."

The couple spent time down under last week after Joel's band Good Charlotte performed at Indyfest.
