Halle Berry revels in pregnancy

Pregnant actress Halle Berry is reveling in pregnancy, claiming that she feels "absolutely alive" and "full of energy".

41 year-old Halle - who is expecting her first child on Valentine’s Day, said: “I feel absolutely alive, full of energy and really, truly sexy. In the past, I’ve put on a dress and thought, OK I don’t look so bad, but I’ve never felt sexy in the way I do now,” she said.

“Maybe that’s a spin-off from this magical time of pregnancy.”

Halle, who was recently in London for the showing of movie "Things We Lost in the Fire" - at the London Film Festival said she endured “deep emotional turmoil” as she struggled to conceive with boyfriend Gabriel Aubry, 32, a French-Canadian restaurant owner and model.

Berry added to Britain's Daily Express newspaper:  “It took seven or eight months for us to get the result we wanted and I have saved my positive test.

“I told someone I had 35 negative tests before we got the one I dreamed about.

“You say a joke and it follows you around, but the truth is I did take a lot, and however many it was, it felt like 35.”

Twice divorced Halle says “I am meant to be a mother”, but insists she won’t marry again.

“I come from a broken family and most people I know are from broken homes, so I don’t think there’s a simple, single vision of what a family is any more.”
