Harry Potter star Emma Watson has reportedly split from her rugby playing boyfriend Tom Ducker - and is said to be “distraught” over the break-up.

A friend of Emma’s revealed: “She is very upset. He was her first love.”

The pair began dating at the start of this year & the whirlwind romance seemingly went from strength to strength as she whisked him to the French Riviera for a holiday this summer.

Last night a spokesman for the actress, who plays fictional character Hermione Granger in the Potter series’ claims that the reason for the break-up was simply that the magic had gone from the relationship: “They just drifted apart as teenagers do.
