Katie Holmes runs marathon
Actress & mother-of-one Katie Holmes was spotted running the NYC Marathon this weekend - along with 39,000 other runners and finished it 5 hours, 13 minutes and 37 seconds later - and waiting for Katie at the other end was husband Tom Cruise, 45- and the couple’s daughter Suri, 1, who awaited for her at an after-party at New York’s plush Tavern on the Green restaurant.
According Us Weekly, Holmes, 28 was running wearing a FDNY hat and dressed in matching black pants and top.
The marathon’s course, a standard 26.2 miles, took Holmes through all five boroughs of the city, starting in Staten Island and finishing in Manhattan’s Central Park, where a group of friends and relatives waited with ‘Lions for Lambs’ actor Tom Cruise to cheer her on.
After growing speculation, it was recently revealed that Katie Holmes is, in fact not expecting another baby - after she sent the rumor mill into frenzy, after being photographed wearing a high-volume Balenciaga gown at a Berlin airport on October 13, but a close friend of the former ‘Dawson’s Creek’ actress said: “Katie told me she wants another child with [husband Tom Cruise]. She talks about it a lot. But I do not know when exactly they plan to have another baby” baby.”
Another source added: “Katie treats Suri like her best girlfriend, Suri is the center of it all.”

5+ hours is not “running” a marathon — it’s barely jogging. Please change your title to “Holmes completes” marathon. The current title is an insult to people who actually do run the 26 mile distance.

I was going to say the same thing, as post #1 - - - for ‘Kate’ it wasn’t so much ‘running the marathon’ as planning her escape route and training for ‘endurance’ when she REALLY makes a break for it, and goes ‘on the run’ ;)

i think we should admire her for what she has done rather than put her down so easily.i think it portrays her as a good role model for her younger fans.But im wondering why Tom did not complete the marathon himself seeing how active he is in his movies.This must have been a walk in the park compared to 8 months filming.

She puts herself in second place for her husbands affections behind a criminal organisation.
She allows herself to be dominated by a direction she cannot steer independantly.
She doesn’t have the wit or desire to examine the information which exposes the cult she’s stepping into.
One day, if she’s lucky she’ll survive to be an ex wife, but she’ll not be able to take her kids with her.

is the marathon for real or just another free and cheap publicity stint to get out of the shadow. isn’t she overshadowed by tom the same way tom overshadowed and kid his ex- nicole??? walalaaaaaaaa
