Tom Cruise: Katie Holmes 'inspires' me

November 8 2007

Tom CruiseActor Tom Cruise has praised wife Katie Holmes yet again - following her recent completion of the New York Marathon.

The 'Lions for Lambs' actor, who was honored by the Museum of the Moving Image on Tuesday, told People: "I know, she's impressive, She inspires me."

28-year-old Holmes finished the NYC Marathon in 5:29:58, and a few hours later, looking totally refreshed, she was seen at the Museum of Modern Art premiere of Tom's new movie, which also stars Meryl Streep & Robert Redford , Lions for Lambs.

Tom added: "I said that she trained for three months to run the marathon, but it was really only over two months, actually. So, it's quite an accomplishment [for] anyone to do that."

Cruise also claims that the former 'Dawson's Creek' actress had run 18 miles in Berlin, Germany, where he was filming for Valkyrie.

Holmes added to People magazine that she ran "in all the different parks that they have there."

Reminiscing about Sunday, where he and 18-month old daughter Suri, were waiting for Katie at the finishing line, he said: "Have you ever been there at the final when people are running in at that marathon? It's an incredible experience, actually, to see people coming in. You can see what it means."

All this mutual appreciation

All this mutual appreciation gets a bit too sweet after a while.
I wonder where Connor and Isabella were as Crusie waited with Suri at the finishing line. Farmed out to his sister on the RPF most likely- they don't mean so much anymore. So much for 'bringing families together'. How many more surrogate mothers will these kids have to suffer?
