Amy Winehouse's house raided by police
Troubled British singer Amy Winehouse was reportedly in hiding last night - and her husband, Blake Fielder-Civil was taken in to custody after her London home was raided by police.
According to British newspaper The Sun, yesterday afternoon, Metropolitan police raided the London home which Winehouse shares with Blake - and they had to force their way into the house using a crowbar.
Amy, who, according to reports was out buying a newspaper at the time, was said to be hysterical after learning her home had been raided.
The 'Rehab' singer told a pal: “We’re f***ed. God knows what they’ll find.”
Police arrived at Amy's home at 4.45pm and Blake was arrested soon after, on suspicion of conspiracy to pervert the course of justice, along with three other men.
A spokesperson for the Met Police said: “We can confirm officers have arrested four men.”
Amy’s exact whereabouts at-the-time were unknown.
Friends of the troubled couple have claimed the pair have been arguing recently - because Blake wants to take over as her manager.
A friend said: “It has been a tinderbox situation. Blake has been having more and more rows with Amy.
“He’s been in a furious mood for weeks, saying Amy doesn’t love and trust him enough.
“He flies off the handle and storms out of the house.
“But this could be too much for Amy to bear.”
A spokesman for the Metropolitan police said: “There was a police operation and we cannot make any further comment at this time.”
However, a spokesman for Winehouse has denied the police activity had anything to do with drugs and said the singer had not been arrested: "The only thing I can tell you is that it has nothing to do with drugs and that Amy is fine and she has not been charged or arrested."
