Heather Mills plans to represent herself in court
Heather Mills, the troubled ex-wife of Sir Paul McCartney has revealed that she is planning to represent herself in the divorce courts after her lawyers dumped her.
According to reports, Heather, wants to portray her bid for a $100 million settlement from Sir Paul McCartney as a “David and Goliath” battle, it has been claimed.
A source said: “Heather reckons she can go for the sympathy vote by painting herself as an impoverished young woman fighting a rich old man.”
Heather's latest tactic was revealed after British newspaper The Sun, revealed yesterday that the top divorce lawyers Heather had hired had ditched the former glamor model.
Law firm Mishcon de Reya dumped Heather after she ignored advice not to talk about her marriage or the couple’s four-year-old daughter Beatrice.
Instead, Heather now stands accused of destroying her own case — after spending the past weeks slagging off Sir Paul in a string of high-profile interviews on US & UK TV.
The divorce case in the New Year will now pit Heather against Fiona Shackleton — the lawyers Paul McCartney has hired.
Fiona previously represented Prince Charles in his divorce from the late Princess Diana.
The source added: “Heather will make it out to be a David and Goliath battle.
"But how she thinks she can fight one of the best legal minds in the country is beyond belief.”
Heather has blamed Sir Paul for the problems in their marriage..

"A litigate who defends
"A litigate who defends themselves has a fool for a client". Game over! Even high priced ambulance chasers decided to fold their cards! They can't choke the golden goose to get it to lay eggs now. When your barristers run the other way your case is over. Especially lawyers that took on the Crown itself to get Princess Di some shillings. Now it is a waiting game for Paul. His plan worked to run the string out until Heather, nut job that she is, self destructed. Stick a fork in Heather, she's done.
