Lindsay Lohan begins community service - at a blood bank
Lindsay Lohan has begun doing community service - at a blood bank.
The actress has been spotted working at an American Red Cross blood services facility in a Los Angeles suburb.
The Mean Girls starlet must complete 10 days of community service as part of a plea deal for two drunk-driving convictions last August.
Lohan, 21, was sentenced to the mandatory minimum of four days in jail for her second DUI conviction following her arrest in July.
But prosecutors agreed she could serve 10 days of community service rather than two days behind bars.
She must still serve 24 hours in jail any time before January 2008.
And the actress, who recently completed a lengthy rehab stint at the Cirque Lodge in Utah - was also placed on three years probation and must complete an 18-month alcohol education program.
According to US reports, Lohan was spotted at the facility in Pomona on Monday.
A source said: "Arriving at noon, she was greeted by staff in the parking lot before walking into the building.
"When she left the facility around 7pm, she carried a book titled Blood."
