Marie Osmond gives another emotional performance on Dancing with the Stars
Marie Osmond gave another emotional performance on US TV series Dancing with the Stars and was cheered on by a tearful Donny in the audience.
It was too much for her older brother, who was visibly moved in the studio audience.
The singer danced the Rumba and the Jive scoring impressive totals of 25 out of 30 and 24 out of 30 respectively.
It won't be known until tomorrow's results show if it's enough to put her through to next week's semi-final, in what is the most competitive season yet.
When asked how she was coping with the recent loss of father, George Osmond, the star said:
"I'm doing great. I opened up the bible right after my dad died, and it said there's a time to mourn and a time to dance."
She added: "It was like my dad was saying it. I'm doing this for him."
The Osmond kin remembered their dad last week in a funeral service that included as much music and laughter as tears.
Marie Osmond referenced Dancing with the Stars during the service.
She said: "I'm so glad he's dancing with my mother now. He's dancing in the stars."
