Christina Aguilera is having a baby boy

Pop star Christina Aguilera is having a baby boy, her pal has revealed.

American Pie actress Christina Milian told a US magazine that the Dirrty singer was preparing to have a son.

She said: "Her son is going to be pretty lucky because his mum ... she's just awesome. "She is going to be a cool mom."

Milian, 26, said she' been at Aguilera's blue-themed carnival-themed baby shower at the chart star's Beverly Hills, California home last week.

Milian said: "I had a lot of fun. "I got her a bunch of baby bath stuff: a whole little bathrobe and everything."

Aguilera, 26, is believed to be around seven months pregnant. She confirmed her pregnancy in an interview for the upcoming issue of women's magazine, Glamour.

She said then that music exec husband Jordan Bratman was "thrilled" about the news - and said she was ready to "enter into mommyhood [sic]" next year.

She added: "He's [Jordan] so supportive and amazing through everything. "I'm a lucky girl."

It was recently reported that she has already named her unborn son.

A source said: "She rubs her baby bump and talks to the baby, calling it Jordy"
