Heather MillsHeather Mills pokes fun at her disability in these new charity advertisements.

The landmine campaigner - who lost a leg in a motorbike accident - appears next to the words 'You haven't got a leg to stand on' in an ad for animal welfare charity, Viva!

Vegetarian Mills tells meat eaters that they are playing a large part in global warming. In another billboard poster, Mills poses in a gold dress next to scorched earth to highlight how the meat and dairy industry is supposedly contributing to the greenhouse effect.

Viva! has claimed that, according to the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organisation 2006 report and its own research, livestock are the second biggest cause of greenhouse gases.

About 100 of the huge billboards will be erected around the UK. Mills, 39, said: "The startling truth is that animals farmed for meat and dairy are now one of the greatest threats to the planet.

"They are at the heart of almost all the world's environmental catastrophes. Viva! has been saying this for years and now the UN has confirmed it with a report so detailed it can't be ignored - except by the Government. It remains silent and continues to pour huge
subsidies into meat and dairy farming."

Mills is currently in the midst of a bitter divorce battle with estranged husband, 65-year-old Beatle legend Paul McCartney.

The pair, who have a four-year-old daughter, Beatrice, split in May.
