Amy Winehouse's mum glad Blake's in prison
Amy Winehouse's mum, Janis Winehouse has revealed she's pleased her daughter's husband, Blake Fielder-Civil has been sent to prison.
Janis told British newspaper The Sun: “Thank God he’s gone inside.”
Janis also revealed that she believes Blake, who is currently in jail after being accused of conspiracy to pervert the course of justice, introduced her daughter to drugs & that she hopes the couple's time apart will make her daughter see sense & finally beat her drug addictions.
She added: “Everyone else can see it, but Amy chooses not to.
“I think he introduced her to them [drugs] and now she thinks, ‘Oh, this is good, this is OK.’
“I think she’s still a child. Personally, I think it’s overtaken her a bit.”
Janis believes that Blake getting locked up is the best thing that could have happened to Amy.
She added: “I step back, look at life and think, well, they’ve put him away. I can see life taking care of the situation.
“I was more worried when they were together.
“I think, while they are apart, she will wake up and think, ‘What have I done?’
“Again, it’s a sense of fate. Thank God he’s gone inside. Because it’s also a case of now he’s going to learn.”
Janis also said that troubled Amy should be more open with her emotions towards Blake, adding: “Amy’s got to love him for him, not because she feels sorry for him or because he’s got her doped up – not for anything other than that she has respect for him.”
Janis also spoke of her fears that Amy's fierce heroin addictions could eventually consume her, but is hopeful she will be able to beat the habit.
She added: “I hope Amy has not been taking drugs long enough for it to be a real addiction.
“I don’t think she’s stupid enough to actually keep going.
“Most people who are hooked on heroin don’t have anything else in their life, but Amy has her music, her career, and a loving family.”
