Shayne Ward bored of Leona Lewis comparisons

Shayne Ward, the winner of the 2005 series of the 'X Factor' has revealed that he's tired of being compared to Leona Lewis, who won 'X Factor' in 2006.

Ward, 23, said that he is regularly asked about Leona Lewis during interviews - but believes they are both completely different artists.

Shayne told Britain's Daily Star newspaper: "It’s been a couple of years since I won and now the pressure is off.

"I don’t have to prove myself. Leona is doing a fabulous job but my first single did exactly the same thing.

"A lot of people keep coming back to Leona when they talk to me but she’s got her career and I’ve got mine.

"She has Simon Cowell and I’ve got Louis Walsh. We’ve got a great relationship and lots of plans. Next year I’m going to Asia then Australia and after that I have my sights set on America."

Leona Lewis is currently Number One in the UK singles charts with 'Bleeding Love' & Number One in the UK album charts with her debut album 'Spirit'.
