Spice Girls deny cancelling Argentina concert

The Spice GirlsThe Spice Girls have denied canceling their concert in in Argentina - after reports spread across the internet claiming they had.

A spokesman for the girls said that an email sent to fans claiming the band had scrapped their concert in Buenos Aires due to high demand for their other dates was "fake".

The Spice Girls Argentina concert is part of of their reunion world tour.

The girls hope to schedule the gig for a date in February, the spokesman added.

Dates in Cape Town, Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong and Sydney are also still to be finalised, according to the band's official website.

A spokesman for the Spice Girls said: "The Spice Girls would like to make it clear that they have not cancelled their Buenos Aires show.

"A story has appeared on several websites that includes a fake email and competition from the girls. The fake email claims that due to the demand so far in the UK and the US this show is going to be cancelled.

"The email goes onto say that they will be running some competitions for their South American fans to travel to the UK to watch a show.

"This is not the case and this email is 100% unofficial and has nothing to so with the Spice Girls."

The Spice Girls will kick off their world tour on December 2nd in Vancouver.
