Amy WinehouseTroubled British singer Amy Winehouse was booed by fans during a shambolic gig at London's Hammersmith Apollo on Saturday night.

According to reports, 24-year-old Winehouse didn't get on stage 'till 10.15pm because she apparently locked herself in her hotel room and refused to go to the venue.

Amy's management were said-to-have spent several hours trying to convince the troubled 'Rehab' singer to turn up for the gig.

But, when Amy finally made an appearance, the audience weren't impressed - as she slurred her words throughout the set.

"This was a tragedy of a gig," one fan tells Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper. "She should never have been allowed to perform."

Amy also angered her support act, Bryn Christopher's band: "Amy always throws parties backstage but we're not allowed to go," a member of the band says. "It's hurtful."

Amy's spokesman refused to comment on whether she had fallen out with the band.

Winehouse is due to perform at Brighton tonight.

Earlier today, a fan who attended Saturday's gig emailed Showbiz Spy to vent her anger:

"I went to see Amy Winehouse perform at the London Hammersmith Appollo at the weekend to which I was very unhappy - she appeared drugged and drunk on stage. I found it hard to explain the reason for this to my 8-year-old niece, who I also took. I would like to write to Amy and her team to vent my disappointment."

That woman who complained is

That woman who complained is an idiot. She needs to explain what happened to her 8 year old niece? How did you explain the song where she sings about being forced into rehab due to drug use? Did this moron not listen to the CD before deciding it was ok for a child to see?

...not to say Winehouse is in the right here or anything, but that woman's still an idiot.
