Daniel Radcliffe wants a role in Coronation Street

Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe has reveled that he's a massive fan of British soap  opera Coronation Street - and wants to hang out in its fictional pub, the Rovers Return.

18-year-old Radcliffe, best known for his role as Harry Potter in the hit movie series' -  confesses he can see himself starring in the Manchester-based soap.

'I love Corrie,' he says. 'Being in that would be fun.'

Meanwhile, Coronation Street's producers are said to be keen for the actor to star in a cameo role.

'We would love to have him,' a Street spokesperson tells British newspaper The Sun.

If Daniel did appear in Coronation Street, he'd be in great company - Lord Of The Rings star Sir Ian McKellan featured in several episodes and comedian Peter Kay played Shelly Unwin's mismatched date in 2004.
