David Beckham apologizes for snubbing cancer victims

November 27 2007

David BeckhamSoccer star David Beckham has apologized to disappointed fans - after accidentally speeding past them in Australia.

According to reports, the group of children - who are leukemia sufferers, were waiting to greet Beckham outside his hotel in Sydney but the LA Galaxy soccer star, 32, failed to notice them - as a sworm of paparazzi were blocking his view.

Beckham has now promised the kids 'a day they won't forget' to make up for the oversight.

'I apologise, but like I said, I didn't actually see them,' he tells Britain's Daily Star newspaper.

Becks now plans to make amends at a sold-out LA Galaxy match tomorrow night. The children will be his guests of honor.
