Marc Bannerman isn't returning to Australia

Former I'm Celebrity Get Me Out of Here contestant Marc Bannerman won't be returning to Australia to greet Cerys Matthews – despite promising to do so in a love letter to the 'Catatonia' singer.

The former EastEnders star,  34, promised Matthews he'd be waiting for her when she was evicted from the jungle - if that's what she wanted.

But now, show insiders are claiming he has rejected offers to fly him Down Under.

"We told Marc we'll sort out the flights and pay for everything," a source tells British newspaper The Sun. "But he doesn't want to do it – despite what he promised Cerys.

"It's going to break her heart as she's been so looking forward to seeing him again. And it's a real shame for the viewers because they will have wanted to see the emotional reunion."

Instead, Marc has agreed to record a video message from the UK.

Marc's Girlfriend of 2 years, actress Sarah Matravers, 33, dumped him after seeing him flirt with the 'Road Rage' singer.
