Hulk Hogan & Linda Bollea accused of staging a divorce

Hulk Hogan & Linda Bollea have been accused of staging a divorce in order to protect their assets, after their 17-year-old son Nick critically injured a pal in a car crash earlier this year.

According to British newspaper The Sun, the lawyer for the family, whose son John was almost killed when traveling in Nick’s speeding car, has told a US newspaper that she feels the move is stop a large court payout.

48-year-old Linda, who has been married to the WWE star for 24 years, filed for divorce last week asking for 50% of their assets.

But Kimberley Kohn, who is acting for the plaintiffs, feels it is just a way to protect the Hogan family’s $10 million worth assets in the impending lawsuit over the accident.

Police reports claim 17-year-old Nick was racing his father’s Toyota Supra against a Dodge Viper driven by a friend on August 26 when the car he was driving struck a curb, spun across two lanes of traffic and slammed rear-end first into a palm tree.

Passenger John was not wearing a seat belt and suffered a broken skull.

Although the Hogans are being sued as a couple, it is expected a payout would be limited to Hulk as he was the registered owner of the car - meaning Linda's half of their fortune would not be touched.

Hogan, 54, has spoken on the divorce but only to say: “Please respect my family's privacy at this time with all that we have been through.

“I care for my wife, and my children are my world, and I just hope this all works out.”
