Kelly Brook grief-stricken after death of father

Strictly Come Dancing star Kelly Brook has reportedly been left grief-stricken after the death of her father.

Kelly, who has been starring on BBC One's hit ballroom series has been hiding the secret pain of her father Kenneth’s battle with cancer.

But Kelly, 28, is said to be heartbroken after Kenneth passed away on Monday night at the family's Rochester home - leaving Kelly's future on Strictly Come dancing in doubt.

A source told British newspaper The Sun: “Kelly, her mum Sandra and the rest of the family are devastated.

“But Kenneth was very ill for a long time.

“At the moment, Kelly is considering whether to perform on Saturday night’s show.”

Kenneth’s death comes just days after Kelly celebrated her 28th birthday.

Last night, Kelly’s spokesman said: “Kelly Brook’s dad, Kenneth, passed away peacefully at home on Monday evening following a long battle with cancer, aged 57.

“Kelly would like to take this opportunity to thank the media for respecting her family’s privacy over this personal matter during recent weeks and asks that they continue to do at this difficult time.

“Kelly will continue to honor her work commitments to the best of her abilities as her father would have wanted.”
