Mel B dubs herself a "loser" after failing to win Dancing With The Stars

Mel BMel B demonstrates that she's a loser after missing out on winning US TV show Dancing With The Stars.

The Spice Girls singer bent her fingers into an 'L' shape and waved them next to her forehead as she dubbed herself a "loser".

Mel, real name Melanie Brown, came in second place with dance partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy on the ballroom dancing reality contest.

Appearing on Good Morning America the morning after the results (wed), Mel said she was a loser after presenters mixed up her and Maksim's names.

She said: "I just heard there was a recount and we won. "I am so amazed that America embraced us so much and voted for us. "I am honoured to have been on this show for so long, truly."

Mel, 32, and Maksim appeared in a video link-up from Los Angeles, California at around 5am her time.

She added: "Can I just say how incredibly early it is right now?"

And she said she would incorporate some of her newly learned moves when the Spice Girls start their reunion tour, which starts in December.

But she said the whip she used in Dancing With The Stars wouldn't be making an appearance.
She said: "No! "I am incorporating everything I've learned into my show. "[The whip] is attached to my hip, actually."

Brazilian racing driver Helio Castroneves and professional dance partner Julianne Hough took the top spot. Marie Osmond and dance partner Jonathan Roberts came third.

Castroneves and Hough had trailed Mel B and Chmerkovskiy by one point going into Tuesday night's final but took the title thanks to the results of the public telephone vote.
