David Beckham banned from Spice Girls gig

'Posh Spice' Victoria Beckham has banned husband David from the Spice Girls' 1st gig  in Vancouver on Sunday night, because she thinks it will put too much pressure on her and the girls.

"One minute Victoria is saying she wants me there and then it's 'No, don't come to the first show, as we'll all be too nervous'," says David, 32.

However, Victoria has said she'll eventually let David see her and the girls in action.

"I think I'll be at the show a couple of days later in San Jose and have the boys with me," he tells British newspaper The Sun.

"And I know Victoria will ring me as soon as the first show ends. She says the rehearsals have gone amazingly well."

Victoria clearly has no intention of letting David relax now that the US soccer season is over. "I'm off on tour with the Spice Girls," he jokes.
