Glen Close plays a round of 'shoe golf' on British TV
Glenn Close has introduced a new game to Britain - shoe golf.
The award winning actress demonstrated the game made up by her family by flinging her high heels at an imaginary 18th hole.
She said: "Actually my husband invented it because his father worked for a shoe factory and he would bring home shoes for them to test as they walked to school and he and his brothers invented a game called shoe golf.
"You set a goal and then you flip your shoe off to try to hit the goal. The shoe is quite crucial."
Glenn taught chat show host Graham Norton and comedian Alan Carr the game on The Graham Norton Show.
On the show funny man Norton put a prank call into an accident helpline and told them: "My name's Graham Norton I'm at work right now. The Hollywood actress Glenn Close has just hurt my feelings. Do I have a claim?"
When the operator said he was passing him on to the police an amused Close said: "If that ends up on page six in New York I'm going to come back and kill you."
The Damages star later got into the joke by staging a spoof ad of a claims company.
She said: "Have you been drowned, strangled and shot at work? Why not ring the Norton Accident Helpline? Our trained operators are waiting to take your call."
