Jennifer Love Hewitt hits back at body mockers
Jennifer Love Hewitt has hit back after photographers caught her looking less than svelte on a sun-drenched holiday.
The 'I Know What You Did Last Summer' star, whose cellulite-ridden physique was snapped in Hawaii, said she loved her body like all women should. "What I should be doing is celebrating some of the best days of my life and my engagement to the man of my dreams, instead of having to deal with photographers taking invasive pictures from bad angles," she raged on her website.
Hewitt, who got engaged to Scottish actor Ross McCall last week, was the inspiration behind ex-boyfriend John Mayer's hit 'Your Body is a Wonderland'. But a combination of harsh sunlight and a skimpy bikini left the actress with nowhere to hide as she frolicked in the ocean during a Hawaiian getaway.
Her curvy physique was in stark contrast to the slender - and airbrushed - frame she showed off during a recent advertising campaign for US label Hanes. But Hewitt, 28, slammed anyone who dared to criticize her looks. "I know what I look like, and so do my friends and family," she wrote. "And like all women out there should, I love my body."
In a cheeky reference to Mayer's hit, she recently joked: "My body is far from a wonderland. My body is more like a pawnshop. "There's a lot of interesting things put together, and if you look closely you'd probably be excited, but at first glance, not so much."
