Housekeeper sues dog

The pampered pooch of a late New York socialite has found itself in yet more Trouble.

The dog, named Trouble, was famously left $12m in the will of 'Queen of Mean' Leona Helmsley, and has had to be moved to Florida to avoid dognapping threats.

Now Helmsley's former housekeeper has filed a $12m lawsuit against Trouble's current keeper, Alvin Rosenthal, and John Codey who looks after the pampered pooch's legacy.

Romanian-born Zamfira Sfara claims both new that Helmsley's dog attacked her when she worked as a housekeeper for her in 2004. She says she is suing for $12m because the figure is ' the symbol of the dog that has destroyed my life.'

Sfara claims the dog bit her hand, causing her to bleed, and blames the bites for causing a painful condition called reflex sympathetic dystrophy. Sfara sued Helmsley over her injuries in 2005, but the case was thrown out by a judge who ruled that her injuries were covered by workers compensation.

Howard Rubenstein, the lawyer for Rosenthal and Codey called the lawsuit 'patently false and without merit.'
