Nigella Lawson ate 30 pickled eggs for a £1000 bet

Curvaceous chef Nigella Lawson ate 30 pickled eggs for a £1000 ($2000) bet, she has revealed.

The host of Channel 4 show Nigella Bites said: "It was for a bet. I had to do it. I made them put the money on the table in front of me.

"I concentrated on that and I ate them. I bounced back and the next day I had scrambled eggs for breakfast.

"I was completely alright. I've got a very robust constitution."

The cook also added fuel to rumours that she doesn't always wear underwear and revealed she has a thing for hairy men.

She said: "It's not true that I never wear knickers but it is true that I sometimes don't wear knickers.

"I like an animal. I like them all hairy otherwise I don't think they're different enough from women.

"I like it all over the back as well," she said on The Graham Norton Show.
