The singer appeared to be wearing a wedding band on his ring finger when spotted in New York with the Desperate Housewives actress.

Bolton, 54, and Sussex-born Sheridan, 44, originally split up in 1993 after dating for several years.
But they got back together as a couple in November 2005 and announced their engagement the following March [2006].

The couple was seen leaving Cipriani's restaurant in midtown Manhattan on Saturday afternoon with a female pal.

Bolton joked in 2006 that he wouldn't be able to afford to get married for a couple of years because he'd spent all his money on the diamond engagement ring.

He said then: "Have you seen the size of the ring? Forget the wedding - that was the event of the year as far as I'm concerned.

"Besides I'm recording at the moment and Nicollette's busy with Housewives.

"I was thinking 2008 for the wedding. But in the meantime I might write another song for her."

In November it was reported that Sheridan was pregnant with her first child.
