Amy WinehouseTroubled British singer Amy Winehouse is reportedly desperate to go to prison - so that she can empathize with her incarcerated husband Blake Fielder-Civil.

The troubled 'Rehab' star, 24 - who was arrested on Tuesday before being released on police bail - has been spiraling out of control ever since Blake was arrested and sent to prison last month.

According to reports, Amy - known for singing the lyrics "I told ya, I was trouble,  you know that I'm no good," is determined to be locked up so that she can feel closer to her husband.

A source told Britain's Daily Star newspaper: "It's almost like she wants to get herself jailed so she can feel how Blake feels and in that way feel closer to him.

"Everyone is trying to get her to snap out of it but we worry. These past few weeks have been hard on her and we don't want her to self-destruct. But she's on a downward spiral."

Winehouse voluntarily handed her herself into cops in connection with the investigation into Blake's charges of allegedly perverting the course of justice.

A Scotland Yard spokeswoman said: "A 24-year-old woman has been bailed to return to an east London police station on a date in early March pending further inquiries."

Blake is currently locked up in in London's Pentonville Prison after allegedly conspiring to pervert the course of justice by bribing James King, the landlord of Macbeth's public house in Hoxton, to withdraw his allegation of grievous bodily harm against the 25-year-old.

He will be remanded in custody until January 18 for a plea and directions hearing.
