Heather Mills ordered to pay $4m legal bill
Heather Mills, the former wife of Beatles legend Sir Paul McCartney has reportedly been ordered to pay $4 million in court battles - or she will be taken to court.
Heather - the former model & animal rights activist who is currently embroiled in a bitter legal battle with former 'Beatle' Paul, 65, had arranged to hand over the huge fee once her divorce settlement was finalized.
But the top notch law firm Mishcon de Reya no longer represent Heather and are now concerned about her paying the bill.
A source said: "Heather has been told she has to make steps to clear the debt. She has been told that a writ is as good as on its way. Mishcon de Reya worked tirelessly in difficult circumstances for Heather and it is now concerned it may not get its money. Mishcon is concerned Heather could get a nominal settlement of a few million pounds and because she has other debts to clear, Mishcon is worried they will be at the back of the queue."
The firm contacted Heather last week asking her to clear the debt or face legal action.
Paul's lawyers are reportedly keeping track of the situation and are aware that if Heather was ever to be declared bankrupt; it would weaken her position in the divorce settlement.
Mishcon de Reya and Heather parted ways following her decision to appear on several UK and US TV shows last month where she verbally attacked Paul.
The source added to Britain's Daily Mail newspaper: "Mishcon has drawn a line under its relationship with Heather. The thinking is that by going so public with a raft of accusations in that round of television interviews, Heather has ruined her chances of getting a reasonable settlement."
During the interviews on both US & UK television, Heather, 39, likened herself to the late Princess Diana, said she was suicidal, branded Paul's daughter Stella "evil" and claimed Paul had refused to give her a "quick and gentle" divorce."

The ironic thing about this, is she could have been a rich woman with a decent reputation if she settled quickly and they parted friends. But no she had to have a public tantrum. Be careful what you wish for, sometimes it bites you in the butt.

Heather's venom and bitterness sowed the roots of her own destruction, now the lawyers are going to reap whatever money she receives in the divorce.
Heather believed she could blow and blow and blow Paul's house down with lies, deceits and blackmail. She will now realize that Hell hath no Fury like an unpaid lawyer!

Look how it worked out of Meg Ryan. Her husband cheated on her but she came out looking like the bad one because she agree to a quick divorce and a gag order so when the lies started she could not defend herself.
Heather intitled to 50% of what was earned during their marriage and I sure this law firm did nothing to earn her any more.
They deserve nothing they quit her because it was hurting there reputation for representing her because Paul has such power with the press.

Get real! She could have settled it quick and easy. She was offered 25 million first, but that wasn't good enough for her. She wanted to make him pay, as any vengeful person would! I did the same thing to my ex husband! All I thought about is getting even, and taking every thing from him, even his pride, family and friends! I told so many lies to his family and friends to make them hate him, as much as I did! In the end, all it got me was a kick in the rear, cause now they all hate me!!! And when she went on TV and said that she was so close to commiting suicide to keep her daughter safe! What ever, if a person is really going to commit suicide, they wouldn't announce it to the whole world! My cousin didn't announce it, the only clues we had, was he gave away all his stuff a weak prier! Then he was just gone. I really wish we would have seen the clues! So it's just another pitty plee for (poor) Heather Mills! And it really ticks me off that she would sink so low as to use suicide attemps to get attention! It kinda leaves a sick feeling in my stomach, for those of us who have really lost a loved one to suicide! And it's wrong for her to use this sickening way to get pitty, and attention!

hey did anyone see that video news clip of Heathers perents telling the reporter that they no longer support they're daughter about the divorce. they said they told her to settle it a while ago but she wont and now they thing she is getting greedy. they said they love they're daughter very much but dont agree with what she is doing. they said she wasn't raised that way and they dont understand what she is trying to do. if you get a chance look it up on youtunes its a good news clip.
