Mischa Barton arrested for DUI

Actress Mischa Barton was in a police cell yesterday after being arrested for driving under the influence and possession of illegal drugs.

The former "O.C." beauty, 21, was pulled over driving her white Range Rover at 2.46am (THURS, DEC 27) in West Hollywood.

London-born Mischa, who is also accused of driving without a valid license, was reportedly handcuffed at the scene.

She was booked at 3.10am and was still being held almost six hours later on $10,000 bail.

The Inmate Info document on the LA County Sheriff's Department's website called her "Mischa Burton".

Mishca shot to fame as Marissa Cooper in US TV series "The O.C.", which was a hit on both sides of the pond. She was born in Hammersmith, west London, but moved to New York with her family when she was four.
