Lindsay Lohan wins "contribution to cinema" award

Lindsay LohanIt has been a turbulent year for Lindsay Lohan - she has probably spent most of it in rehab! - but despite her woes, the 'Mean Girls' actress has managed to win an award for "contribution to cinema". According to reports, Lohan will pick up the honor at the Capri Film Festival's opening gala tonight.

She'll see in the New Year with a posh black-tie dinner at a five-star hotel on the island.

Meanwhile, Lohan has denied drinking alcohol before her 2005 car crash, she stated in court documents submitted on Friday.

"I did not consume an alcoholic beverage or any type of medication or drug," she said, according to the Associated Press.

Raymundo Ortego, the driver of the car the 21-year-old Lohan hit, is suing the star and The Ivy, the restaurant he claims served her alcohol (Lindsay was then underage), to compensate for his injuries.
