Shannon Elizabeth struggling to find a Miami hotel room for the New Year

Shannon Elizabeth has discovered that even stripping off in a hit teen movie is not enough to secure a Miami hotel room at New Year.

The American Pie lovely is reportedly struggling to find a room for the festive period.

Elizabeth will be in Florida to host two parties at two different parties, but has found everywhere fully booked, the New York Post reports.

"First she's hosting a charity party at the Catalina Hotel and then she's ringing in the New Year at the Sagamore - but she doesn't have anywhere to stay," the insider told the Post.

"She's desperately searching for a room and calling everyone, but all of Miami is oversold."
