Jamie Lynn Spears' pregnancy boosts the ratings for Zoey 101
Jamie Lynn Spears' announcement that she was pregnant at the age 16 has proved a ratings hit for her children's TV show 'Zoey 101'.
Last Friday's season finale of the Nickelodeon show, in which Jamie Lynn plays the part of 'Zoey Brooks,' garnered 7.3 million viewers – more than double the show's normal viewership.
On Friday, the sister of the troubled popstar BRITNEY SPEARS was snapped with mom Lynne in their hometown of Kentwood, Louisiana clutching a study guide for the GED. The young star has expressed interest in attending Louisiana State University.
"I haven't thought anything about what I might study," she has said. "I'll have to look more into that. But if I went anywhere, I think it would be fun to go to LSU."
There was some skepticism about whether Zoey 101 would continue to air after the announcement of Jamie Lynn's pregnancy; However, Nickelodeon did confirm that the show will continue to air into 2008 compeleting it's fourth and last season.

This kind of stuff happens everyday and I don't think it's fair everything thats being thrown on top of her, it's hard enough being pregnant no matter how old or how ready you think you are. This is my eyes just means she has a different road to go down in life. It will be hard of course but it can work. She seems like a sweet girl that has to become a woman a lot sooner then she thought but don't we all have to grow up sooner or later.
