Jessica Simpson to give Dallas Cowboys game a miss

Dallas Cowboys' fans can breathe easy - Jessica Simpson is giving their vital Play Off game this weekend a miss.

The Texas songbird came under a barrage of criticism after she watched the team lose badly to the Philadelphia Eagles earlier this season.

Her current boyfriend, Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo, had his worst game for the team as Simpson sat in the stands.

But her representatives have calmed fears that the singer would again jinx the high-flying Cowboys against the New York Giants.

"She is not attending. She's working on a new album," her publicist Cindy Berger said. "She will not be there, but she'll be watching on TV and cheering Romo on."
