Carrie Underwood "never dated" Tony Romo
Singer Carrie Underwood has denied ever being romantically involved with Dallas Cowboys’ quarterback Tony Romo.
“He was not my boyfriend and we were never dating,” the country star, 24, told the January/February issue of Women’s Health magazine. “The more I screamed ‘We’re not dating!’ the more headlines claimed that we were a couple or that I was crying because he was out with another girl.
“We’re really good friends, we hang out a lot, and we’re close…well, friends smooch occasionally,” she added.
Underwood - who has been dating 'Gossip Girl' actor Chace Crawford since July, also revealed her dream job: being a news anchor.
“I love being on camera,” she says. “Diane Sawyer is my favorite. She never seems to lower herself to get the job done. She just carries herself well. I really admire her.”
In the meantime, Carrie - who shot to fame after winning the fourth season of 'American Idol,' and has since become a multi-platinum selling recording artist, says she is content being at home “so I can eat what I want to when I’m out with friends.”
“The older I get, the harder it is to splurge without consequences,” she said. “I love food. Chocolate and cheese and anything that’s bad for me.
“Everyone has these expectations of what people should look like,” she added. “Some people think I’m fat, some people don’t. Who are they to judge? But it does bother me — if I see a picture, and I look chubby, it affects how I feel about myself.”
