Dancing on Ice kicks off without any falls

January 14 2008

Dancing on IceThe latest series of Dancing on Ice kicked off with not one embarrassing fall from the 12 celebrity skaters.

Despite lots of tears and tumbles during rehearsals, the stars, which include tennis player Greg Rusedski, singers Gareth Gates and Suzanne Shaw and TV host Tim Vincent, managed to stay upright for the first show.

Hollyoaks pin-up Chris Fountain became the show's number one skater after the judges gave him top marks for his skating routine.

But presenter Sarah Greene got an icy reception from the audience who booted her off the first live show after she failed to impress in a skate-off with rival skater Samantha Mumba.
