Gwyneth Paltrow admitted to hospital

Actress Gwyneth Paltrow has been admitted to hospital amid a shroud of mystery, it is reported.

The movie star and mum-of-two was slumped in a wheelchair when  she arrived at New York's Mount Sinai Hospital yesterday (Monday) afternoon.

Her husband, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, was pushing the wheelchair and onlookers said Gwyneth looked ill.

And hours later, a bag labelled 'Gwyneth Martin' was delivered to the hospital from New York home supply store Organics Avenue.

"She was slumped over in a wheelchair pushed by [husband] Chris Martin," an eyewitness told one US magazine.

"She didn't look well."

A source said the health-conscious star was spending the night in hospital, but the reason behind Gwyneth's visit was a mystery.

Her representative said: "We are not commenting as it's a personal matter."
