Coleen NolanColeen Nolan and Carol McGiffin revealed they are all woman by removing their make-up on live TV.

The Loose Women stars scrubbed their blusher, lipstick and mascara off to reveal fresh faces to the audience.

Most female celebrities would not be seen dead without make-up on TV, but Coleen and Carol felt compelled to go au natural after discussing cosmetics on the show.

After a newspaper survey said 78 per cent of men prefer women without make-up on, Carol admitted she hates wearing it, whereas Coleen, 42, said she couldn't go anywhere without a full face. "I'd rather sever an artery, I can't bear it," she said.

"When I have no make-up on I'm so pale, I have really pale skin and when my family see me with no make-up on they ask if I'm ill.

"I always put blusher, mascara and lipstick on because I can't bear it.

"This survey where 78 per cent of men said women were better without make-up on were obviously sat next to ugly girlfriends."

But host Jackie Brambles then challenged the outspoken ex-singer to remove her make-up on air with Carol.

To everyone's shock, the game presenter wiped it off to reveal her natural look. "This is the worst moment of my life" said Coleen.

But Carol, 47, liked her new look. "I feel like my skin can breathe now," she said.
