Tom Cruise and Jerry SeinfeldTom Cruise, Scientologist has been hanging out with Jerry Seinfeld in New York.

The pair were spotted together on a double date with their wives at the exclusive Upper East Side eatery Sfoglia on Tuesday night, where they enjoyed a three-hour meal, according to reports.

The next day, Seinfeld, 53, and Cruise, 45, along with his one-year-old daughter Suri, were spotted together again, and paid a visit to Seinfeld's garage - where he keeps his vast collection of automobiles.

A rep for Jerry - who last year revealed he had  dabbled in Cruise's religion Scientology, told People.com how the unlikely pair became close: "[Jerry] and Tom Cruise both have homes in Telluride, Colo., which is their connection.

"I did some Scientology courses about 30 years ago," the comedian told Access Hollywood while promoting his Bee Movie. "I didn't do very much. I don't know that much, I just did a little but I liked it."

But Seinfeld left his study of the controversial religion long ago. (He also said he's explored meditation, Aikido, karate and yoga.)

"He is not studying Scientology in any way at this time," said the rep. "He did attend a course 30 years ago that he found interesting but he is Jewish and not changing his religion or faith in any direction."

Cruise has been very vocal about his Scientology beliefs, and earlier this week a video of him talking about Scientology hit leaked online, where he said: "I think it’s a privilege to call yourself a Scientologist, and it’s something that you have to earn because a Scientologist does... has the ability to create new and better realities and improve conditions. Being a Scientologist, you look at someone and know absolutely that you can help them.

"Being a Scientologist, when you drive past an accident... you know you have to do something about it because you know you’re the only one that can really help.

"But that’s what drives me... I know that we have an opportunity to really help... effectively change people’s lives and I am dedicated to that. I am absolutely, uncompromisingly dedicated to that.

"We have a responsibility."
