Janet Jackson's new single bombs
Her video premiered on MTV earlier this week - showing off dancing skills to rival her older brother, Michael Jackson - but that doesn't seem to have helped record sales.
Janet Jackson's latest single, Feedback, hasn't even made the top 100 download chart - after three weeks on sale.
Now her label, Island Records might pull the plug on bringing the CD version to the UK.
Feedback is the first single from Janet's new album, Discipline, due out in February.
After her last album flopped, the pressure is on the 41-year-old diva. A source said: "The poor figures are no surprise as Janet isn't big news right now."
The video for the single sees Janet dancing in Space with a group of droids that would put Michael Jackson to shame. It's the first single to be taken from her tenth studio album 'Discipline'. More...
The album is set for release on 26 February.
"Discipline' is Janet's debut release for Island Def Jam after more than a decade at Virgin Records.
Her last album, 2006's '20 Y.O.,' sold a disappointing 648,000 copies in the US.

The reason for the lack of download sales is purely based on all the stupid cheap people out there who download all there music for free! Why waste your time downloading it. Go out and buy it! Albums are not going to break your bank account! The internet downloads are killing the music business and its a shame! we are destroying it and this is bad news! Don't be cheap! People want her to fail no matter what. "Feedback" is one of the best songs she's had in years IMO. I'll definitely be buying her new album when it drops. Can't wait!

I like Janet shes done
I like Janet shes done everything possible in music. She has never been a strong vocalist so for her to continue being a dance queen is redundant. These younger ppl aren't feeling her like that. Im 27 I remember 93 janet and 96 VR and loved her for those. But now I dunno even if its a good song SHE aint catchin the attention she needs. PPl have downloaded Leaked songs and it still never stopped a CD's momentum. I love janets perfomances h/e she needs to do all the oldies and start venturing off into other things.

Unfortunately, they took their information from The Mirror in the U.K., giving the false impression that this is how the single is performing in the U.S. This is total misinformation and misleading. The song is doing fine. It's Top 40 on the Pop charts and Top 30 on the R&B Charts with bullets on both charts. Oh, btw, the song is currently no.44 on Billboard's Hot Digital Tracks chart. So,as you can see, this article and the editors of this site is full of shit. Next time get your shit right before you post it.
