Julia Roberts to be spokesperson for a stuttering charity?

An American stuttering charity hopes to sign up Julia Roberts as its spokesperson.

The Pretty Woman star and her brother Eric both reportedly suffered from the speech affliction as youngsters.

Now the Stuttering Foundation of America hopes the siblings will agree to work with them. "The Roberts siblings stuttered as children and ironically give credence to the factor of heredity/genetic link in the stuttering equation," the group's newsletter reads.

"They have no doubt inspired young people with the problem."

Group spokesman told the New York Post that 'It would be marvelous' to have Julia and Eric Roberts work with the SFA.
