Supersized and skinny women swap diets in 'Supersize vs Superskinny'

Junk food addict Sandra Andrew is celebrating losing a stone after swapping her diet with a skinny teenager.

She took part in the controversial weight loss plan on new Channel 4 TV documentary Supersize vs Superskinny.

Weighing in at 23st 7lbs, the Internet seller used to gorge on late night snacks and takeaways.

Meanwhile her skinny rival Tatiana Moxey, at 6st 9lbs, would eat the equivalent diet of a four year old.

The unlikely pair took part in a two-month extreme diet swap to fatten up Tatiana and slim down overweight Sandra.

Before starting the extreme diet, customer service worker Tatiana, 19, had a 22-inch waist and could barely finish a meal.

While she spurned food, larger than life Sandra, 39, embraced it.

She spent most nights at home gorging on West Indian food and fatty late-night snacks.

Before the diet her thighs measured in at 7 inches bigger than Tatiana's waist. "I don't really have breakfast, lunch, and dinner in that traditional sense.

"Sometimes I might eat five or six times," she said.

The daily recommended calorie intake for a woman is 2000, yet Tatiana was falling short by 600 a day - or 4,200 calories a week.

Sandra on the other hand was overeating by 11,900 calories a week.

On day one of the swap, the 39-year-old couldn't disguise her disgust at Tatiana's usual choice of breakfast.
"What? A cereal bar? It's a low calorie one as well," she moaned. "I can't believe I've got to eat that for breakfast," replied Tatiana eyeing up her plateful of leftover Indian takeaway.

"I can't believe you eat this for breakfast."

Lunch for Tatiana was a white bread sandwich with butter and brie, followed by an afternoon snacking on roast chicken. "It was probably the worst meal I've ever eaten," she said grimacing.

Meanwhile Sandra had hardly eaten all day. The extreme diet left her in tears. She said: "It is difficult because I haven't had anything warm.

"When I have something warm I feel like I'm getting hugged from the inside," she sobbed.

During the diet both girls talked about their issues with food. Tatiana, who grew up in Portugal, admitted she didn't enjoy British food while Sandra's overeating started when her baby son died three years ago.

By the end of the two months, the girls were fast on the way to swapping places.

Tatiana's weight had gone up to 7st 1lb - her heaviest ever. "I feel a lot more energetic," she said. "Before I was really tired. I feel more happy and I go out a lot more now."

Sandra meanwhile was glowing after losing a stone to weigh 22st 4lbs. "I'll be in my bikini next year," she joked.

"I've learnt a lot about myself and the way I look at food and what food is supposed to do for you.

"It's not supposed to be in control of you and now I'm in control of it," she said. "It's been life changing."
