Leona Lewis in bust-up with boyfriend

X Factor star Leona Lewis had a furious public bust-up with her long-time boyfriend over her meteoric rise to fame, it has been revealed.

The 'Bleeding Love' star was reportedly left devastated on a Caribbean holiday with her childhood sweetheart Lou Al-Chamaa, 21.

He stormed off during a romantic meal and pals are worried they may now split.

Ex-waitress Leona, 22 - tipped to win at next month's Brit awards after the storming success of single Bleeding Love and debut album Spirit - was dining with electrician Lou at their hotel when fans began asking for autographs.

A diner at the $5,000-a-week Galley Bay on Antigua said: "She was smiley and polite but her boyfriend was looking more and more cross."

Then an American fan wanted Leona to move for a picture so the beach was in the background.

A source revealed: "Leona consented but that was the final nail in the coffin for her boyfriend. He stomped out, extremely annoyed. Leona looked distraught and followed him a few minutes later."

Lou - who was raised in the same East London estate as  Leona, started dating her when she was 17. The source added to Britain's Sunday People newspaper: "Leona's career has been a fairytale but Lou is clearly struggling to cope." Leona's spokesman did not comment on the row but denied there was any strain. He said: "They had a nice holiday."
