Britney Spears' pal attacks her family

January 30 2008

BritneyBritney Spears' pal and self-styled manager Sam Lutfi launched a scathing attack on the troubled singer's family - after they branded him "poison".

Lutfi said there was no intervention last night, but then said the Toxic singer's family "barged in." However, the family is staging an intervention and Lutfi has been kept in the dark.

Lutfi said of Britney's dad Jamie and mom Lynn: "They have an agenda. Their agenda is jealously because they don't fit in. I do. They see her [Britney] three times a year."

In a phone call to celebrity website TMZ, Lutfi claimed he did not force Britney - who was by the phone at the time - to buy a car, asking the pop wreck, "Did I force you to buy a car." In a heavy southern accent she responded, "No." He continued, "Do I ever bug you." She replied, "We argue."

Lutfi said Britney's mom is fine with him - it's her dad who has a problem. Family sources slammed those claims, saying that  both Lynne and Jamie "are on the same page," feeling like Sam is a "megalomaniac" who is motivated by "evil."
